Description
Zhongyou Heavy Industry has customized a shovel production line for a Brazilian client. The automated material handling line incorporates integrated equipment for coil unwinding, leveling, feeding, shearing, forming/stretching, and trimming/punching.
An automated shovel production line primarily consists of the following sections and core equipment:
Section 1: Shovel Head Forming Section
Cutting – Shearing Machine/Uncoiling Line
Process: Cutting large steel coil or plate stock into rectangular or specific-shaped blanks required for manufacturing individual shovel heads.
Equipment: Slitting uncoiling line, high-speed shearing machine. Automated lines utilize integrated equipment for uncoiling, leveling, feeding, and shearing.
Stamping Forming – Core Process
a. Forming/Drawing: The flat blank undergoes one or multiple stamping operations within dies to preliminarily form the concave (scoop-shaped) profile of the shovel head. This is the typical application scenario for the 200-ton gantry hydraulic press or mechanical press you previously inquired about.
Equipment: Large-tonnage hydraulic presses (e.g., 200-ton, 315-ton), mechanical presses.
b. Trimming/Punching: Removing excess flash from the edges of the formed shovel head and punching holes for installing the shovel handle.
Equipment: Medium-to-small tonnage punching presses.
