Shandong Zhongyou Heavy Industry has custom-manufactured an 800-ton double-cylinder, four-column hydraulic press for a client in Hebei, which can easily meet the compression molding requirements for fiberglass-reinforced plastic cable trays.

FRP cable trays are typically manufactured using SMC (sheet molding compound) or BMC (bulk molding compound) as raw materials through a hot compression molding process. An 800-ton hydraulic press can be equipped with an electric or oil heating system to maintain the mold temperature between 120–180°C, meeting the requirements for resin curing. Additionally, the equipment supports segmented compression and segmented venting functions, effectively removing air bubbles and volatiles from the material to enhance the density of the finished product.
